COME AND WORSHIP JESUS CHRIST

THAT GENERATION STILL LIVES

Lord Jesus Christ accompanied by His disciples, came to the place where He grew up and began to preach the doctrines in the synagogue. Hearing His words, the people wondered at the source of His wisdom. They were amazed at the mighty works performed by Him. At the same time, on seeing His siblings and His family occupation, they were offended at Him. They slighted Him and had forsaken Him (Mark 6:1-3). That generation still lives!

God chooses the weak, the downtrodden and the despised and those who are looked upon by this world as insane, and reveals His power and His wise counsels through such people so that none can boast of himself before God. This is being seen by many. However, instead of listening to what these men of God have to say, many look at their nativity and language and ignore their divine qualification. Such people look for vain things and reject the grace, thus fulfilling the scripture, "Who has believed our report?...He is despised and rejected by men (Isa. 53:1-3).

When John the Baptist came neither eating and drinking, people told that he possessed a demon. When the son of man came eating and drinking, they accused him of being gluttonous (Matt. 11:18-19). Even today, those who don't know Christ and those who claim to know Him, but not knowing Him properly, accuse men of God in the same manner. They accuse the true ministers of God who came to do the ministry as Paul did, counting all things as loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, having family like Cephas and other apostles, leaving other jobs and following Christ with a sincere heart.

They consider these true ministers of God insane and call them liars, cheaters and hypocrites and make false accusations against them of acquiring personal property using foreign funds. Such people accuse the true ministers of God falsely because they don't know God.

St.Paul lived as a model for his flock to follow (II Thes. 3:9). In order to provide for his own needs and the needs of his companions and to support the weak and in fulfillment of the words of Jesus Christ that "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:34-35), he earned working day and night to avoid being a burden to anyone and preached the gospel too (I Thes. 2:9). Though St.Paul enjoyed full rights to do the ministry of God without doing any other work for his living, he boasted that he did not do that way (I Cor. 9:6,15).

There are some who refuse to recognize them as ministers of God, who, like apostle Paul do not get entangled in the jobs after their livelihood but working with their own hands, serve the Lord with His permission.

Such people are comparable to the generation that lived then who accused Jesus, "We played the flute for you, and you did not dance, we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn" (Matt. 11:17)... "Whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things, they corrupt themselves" (). When He healed the demon-possessed, people were amazed and said, "Could this be the son of David?" (Matt. 12:22-23).

The Pharisees who sought their own glory instead of giving glory to God and who, burning with jealousy when they saw the rise of others, were not willing to hear His words and ponder about godly things. Impelled by their insolence, they charged that Jesus was casting out demons with the aid of Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons. With these vain words, they brought on themselves an unpardonable sin and became liable for judgment (Matt. 12:36). When Jesus declared the profound truth, the truth that He heard from His father, the ungodly Jews took offense and thought in their habitual way that He truly had a demon (John 8:48-52). When they called even the Master of the house Beelzebub, isn't it certain that they would call the household members too by the same title! Didn't the Lord say, "He that believeth on me, the works (He forgave sins, cast out demons, healed the sick, taught doctrines, preached the gospel and performed miracles) that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father" (John 14:12)(KJV). Then why these people spoke evil when God performed mighty works through His people?

"I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth" (John 16:12-13)(KJV). Has Jesus Christ finished all that He wanted to say! Is the Holy Spirit resting after completion of all His works!!

Then why do they speak evil of, and call it a false doctrine, when the depth of truth and new things are revealed with the help of the Holy Spirit? Isn't it because the generation that called Jesus Christ, Beelzebub, exists even today! Yes, that worldly generation still lives. How about you?
